Social Media Community Coordinator


The Community Coordinator is the voice of the truth brand - literally. This person will be the energy source for the truth community and will interact and develop relationships with our audience across social and digital channels. The Community Coordinator is the hub at the center of the truth in-house creative team. We are looking for someone who has a passion for writing, content creation, and social media (even outside the 9 to 5). If you are quick-witted, fluent in youth culture, and have a keen eye for detail and process, we’re looking for you. 

The Community Coordinator will be a key player in making truth one of the most effective and innovative public service campaigns in the country. He/She must be a self-starter with a high level of organization and self-accountability.

You understand how to write and communicate in a brand voice, and can walk the fine line of being relevant with young people without trying too hard. You have ideas and know how to execute them. You cross each t and dot each i - even when there isn't any time for it.  You're relentless and undeniably passionate about the work you do. No matter the circumstances, you get sh$t done. 


  • Actively Respond - Handle day-to-day community management. You proactively engage with, comment, like, and repost from other like-minded young people and brands
  • Invite Them In - Have a two-way dialogue with our community members. Develop strong relationships, trust and loyalty by responding to comments, DMs, texts, emails - in the truth voice 
  • Show Support - Praise them for their achievements and be a friend when they need one
  • Respond to Culture - Contribute and participate in cultural conversations and moments young people care about. Cultural conversations and moments directly and tangentially related to the truth mission
  • Organize monthly and evergreen content calendars across channels 
  • Post content across channels
  • Be the liaison between other departments and the truth social channels to define content priorities each month 
  • Define the do’s a don’ts of community management, engagement and response to keep us agile and active in our communities 
  • Work with legal and research departments to ensure all facts and images are substantiated
  • Flag hate speech or online bullying
  • Ensure account information is kept up-to-date


The ideal candidate should have 2+ years experience in copywriting, social strategy, and / or community management. Bonus points if you are a content creator or aspiring meme-lord on the side. Candidate must be creative, proactive, have excellent communication and well versed across social platforms - the tried and true ones (IG, Twitter, YouTube), the ones that are hot now (TikTok), and the ones that are up and coming (you tell us!). The candidate must be a high-energy professional and able to independently manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
